Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) is conducting a Limited Departmental Examination for 1 Junior Grade of MPE&SS post. This is a Group A Gazetted post in the Planning & Programme Implementation Department. You can apply only if you are an Inspector of Statistics with 5 years of regular service and a Bachelor Degree. Mizoram PSC MPE&SS Junior Grade Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Mizoram Public Service Commission has issued LDE (Gazetted Post) No. 17 of 2026-2027 for recruitment to the Junior Grade of the Mizoram Planning, Economic and Statistical Service. The notification is dated 26 May 2026 from Aizawl. This is not an open market recruitment; it is meant for serving departmental officers who already hold the Inspector of Statistics post.

The post is classified as Group A Gazetted, and the pay is listed as Level 10 in the Pay Matrix. The recruitment follows the Mizoram Planning, Economic & Statistical Service Rules, 2025 and the related limited departmental examination regulations. Who Can Apply?

Departmental Eligibility

• Feeder post: You must be holding the post of Inspector of Statistics.
• Service requirement: You must have completed 5 years of regular service in that grade after regular appointment.
• Qualification: You must have a Bachelor Degree.
• Remaining service: You must have 5 years of service left before superannuation as on the last date of application.

Important Service Conditions

Selection Process (No Personal Interview)

The selection is through a written Limited Departmental Examination. The official syllabus says there will be 4 papers for 400 marks, and there will be no personal interview.

Written Exam Papers

• Paper I: English Comprehension, Drafting, English Grammar and Basic Computer Knowledge for 100 marks.
• Paper II: Conduct rules, CCA rules, Fundamental Rules, General Financial Rules and Central Treasury Rules for 100 marks.
• Paper III: Mizoram Economy, Agriculture Census, NSO, Economic Census, NITI Aayog, MPLADS, MLALADS and District Planning Committee for 100 marks.
• Paper IV: Statistics, Collection of Statistics rules, Births and Deaths law and simple arithmetic for 100 marks.

Each paper is for 3 hours. Persons with benchmark disabilities get compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour. Questions in Paper II, Paper III and Paper IV may be set as MCQ and short answer type questions.

1. Online Application and Document Upload: Submit the online form and upload required service documents before the deadline.
2. Written Examination: Appear for Paper I, Paper II, Paper III and Paper IV, each carrying 100 marks.
3. Minimum Marks: You must score at least 40 percent in each paper to qualify at the written stage.
4. Merit List: MPSC will arrange successful candidates by aggregate written marks.
5. Tie Rule: If marks are equal, the older candidate will be placed higher in merit.
6. Appointment Recommendation: MPSC will recommend names up to the number of notified vacancies.

How to Apply

1. Go to the Mizoram PSC online portal at mpsconline.mizoram.gov.in.
2. Complete one-time registration if you have not already registered.
3. Fill in the online application for the Junior Grade of MPE&SS Limited Departmental Examination.
4. Upload the required service documents before the last date.
5. Pay the fee if applicable and then check that your application is actually submitted.
6. Complete all steps before 29 June 2026, 4:00 PM.

After payment, check the portal status because the notice clearly says your claim will not be accepted unless the application is actually submitted. If UPI is used, the payment should be made only through the mobile number used for one-time registration.
