BHU Indian Sign Languages Interpreter Recruitment 2026: Overview

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, wants Indian Sign Languages Interpreters for the Office of the Dean of Students. The role supports the campus student body, so your sign language skills will help hearing-impaired students follow classes, meetings and campus events. This is a contract engagement for the 2026-27 academic session, and the university says it may be extended if needed.

You need a bachelor's degree in any subject plus a C-level Indian Sign Language course or a Diploma in Indian Sign Language Interpretation. The university gives extra weight to one year of interpreting work in an academic institute and RCI registration, but neither is compulsory.

• Contract only: The job is purely contractual for the 2026-27 session; any extension is at the university's discretion.
• Fixed pay: The monthly amount is fixed, so do not expect a pay scale, increments or allowances on top.
