The engagement is for Part Time Medical Consultant work on a temporary basis for one year, with renewal possible up to a maximum of three years based on performance and management need. Who Can Apply?

For Specialist Doctor Posts

• Qualification: You need an MD, MS, DNB or PG Diploma in the relevant specialty.
• Recognition: Your medical qualification should be recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• Registration: You must be registered with the MCI or State Medical Council.

For General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO)

• Qualification: You need an MBBS degree with at least 1 year experience.
• Internship: Internship will not be counted as work experience.
• Registration: You must have valid registration from MCI or a State Medical Council.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 65 years as on 01 July 2026.
• Relaxation: The age limit may be relaxed up to 70 years with approval from the competent authority.

Pay and Benefits

• MD / MS / DNB doctors: Rs. 640 per hour for more than 2 hours but less than 6 hours per day, or Rs. 960 per hour for once, twice or thrice a week for maximum 2 hours per day.
• PG Diploma doctors: Rs. 520 per hour for more than 2 hours but less than 6 hours per day, or Rs. 780 per hour for once, twice or thrice a week for maximum 2 hours per day.
• GDMO: Rs. 400 per hour.
• Call duty charges: Up to Rs. 18,000 per month for selected specialties such as Gynaecology, Surgery, Medicine, Paediatrics and Orthopedics.
• Conveyance: Up to Rs. 4,500 per month for one-way distance up to 30 km and up to Rs. 6,000 per month for distance beyond 30 km, on a case-by-case basis.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

BHEL will select doctors through walk-in interview and document checking. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

1. Email Intimation: Send your details to the given BHEL email by 30 June 2026.
2. Walk-in Interview: Attend the interview on 02 or 03 July 2026 between 09:00 AM and 12:30 PM.
3. Document Verification: Bring original documents and one photocopy set for checking.
4. Medical Fitness: Joining is subject to sound health and a medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.

3. Fill the Bio-Data Form attached with the official notice and keep two passport size photographs.

5. Carry original certificates and one photocopy set for document checking.

• Duly filled Bio-Data Form with two latest passport size photographs
• High School certificate or marksheet as date of birth proof
• MBBS marksheets, internship certificate and degree certificate
• MD / MS / DNB / PG Diploma certificates and marksheets, if applicable
• Proof that the qualification is recognised by MCI
• MCI or State Medical Council registration certificate
• Experience certificate, preferably on the organisation or hospital letterhead
• No Objection Certificate, if you are working in government, nationalised bank, autonomous body or PSU service
