Bhadohi Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026 - 108 Posts
The Office of the District Programme Officer, Bhadohi (Bal Vikas Seva Evam Pushtahar Vibhag, Uttar Pradesh) has invited online applications to fill 108 vacant Anganwadi Worker posts across 7 child development projects — Abholi, Aurai, Gyanpur, Bhadohi, Suriyawan, Shahar (City) and Deegh. These are honorarium and contract based posts under the ICDS programme, meant for local resident women of each ward or gram sabha. They are not regular pay-scale government jobs. You must apply online only at upanganwadibharti.in; offline forms will not be accepted in any case.
An Anganwadi centre is the ground-level unit of the ICDS scheme. It gives food, health support and early learning to children below 6 years and helps pregnant women and new mothers in the same area. As an Anganwadi Worker, you become the in-charge of this centre in your own neighbourhood, so only women who live in that ward or gram sabha are selected. Once chosen, you usually serve the same centre for a long time. The ICDS scheme is run by the state Women and Child Development set-up, and Anganwadi Workers are its key field-level staff who carry nutrition, health and pre-school services to every village and ward.
