Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Company under the Ministry of Defence, has released Advertisement No. 2026-27/07/PK/PE/006 for 14 Project Engineer posts on a temporary basis, for its sites in Rajasthan and Gujarat. BEL Panchkula will conduct the walk-in selection at Jodhpur. Two years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience is mandatory — freshers are not eligible for this recruitment.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree (4-year course) from an AICTE-approved college or recognized university, with a Pass Class, in Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Telecommunication/Electrical & Electronics, or Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Science.
• Experience: You need a minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial work experience, preferably in IT Infrastructure, IP Networking, Data Centre projects, CCTV projects, Sensor-based IoT projects, or related electronic/software product installation and support.
• Note: Trainee Engineers/Project Engineers currently working at BEL are not eligible to apply for this post.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 32 years for General category candidates as on 1 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: OBC (NCL) candidates get 3 years, SC/ST candidates get 5 years, and PwBD candidates (40% disability or more) get an additional 10 years on top of category relaxation.
• The maximum age admissible after all relaxations is 50 years. Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per government guidelines.

Salary

• Project Engineers get a consolidated monthly pay that rises every year: Rs. 40,000 in the 1st year, Rs. 45,000 in the 2nd year, Rs. 50,000 in the 3rd year, and Rs. 55,000 in the 4th year.
• You also get an area allowance of 10% of your consolidated pay if posted to project/customer sites, plus Rs. 12,000 per year towards insurance premium, attire, stitching, and footwear allowance.
• If you complete a 4-year tenure, you get a retention bonus of Rs. 25,000 for every completed year, paid as a lump sum of Rs. 1,00,000 at the end of 4 years.

Selection Process

Selection is a walk-in process with 2 stages:

1. Written Test: Held at the walk-in venue in Jodhpur. You are shortlisted for interview based on your written test score, in a 1:5 ratio per category. You need at least 35% marks (General/OBC-NCL) or 30% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) to qualify.
2. Interview: Final merit combines your written test score (85% weightage) and interview score (15% weightage). You need at least 35% marks (General/OBC-NCL) or 30% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) in the interview as well.
3. Medical Examination: If provisionally selected, you must be found medically fit by a BEL-authorised civil surgeon before your final appointment.

No travelling allowance will be given for attending the walk-in selection, and you may need to stay an extra day for the process.

• Configure, update, and maintain IP-enabled sensors like cameras, radar, and electric fence controllers
• Manage data centre infrastructure including servers, switches, storage, fire control, access control, and UPS systems
• Install, update, and maintain IT application software to meet uptime targets
• Handle command and control centre equipment including PCs, workstations, and sensor networks
• Coordinate with customers, OEMs, vendors, and BEL Bengaluru for smooth project execution
• Register and resolve complaints, verify NMS, and provide logistic support
