The pay is Level-3 (Rs. 21,700 - Rs. 69,100) and you only need to be Class X pass. The last date to apply online is 10 April 2026 (3:00 PM).

APSSB Uniformed Services Combined Examination 2026 - 984 Posts

This is Advertisement No. 04/26 issued by APSSB Itanagar on 13 March 2026. Online applications are invited for Group C posts in the Arunachal Pradesh Police, Fire Services and Special Tiger Protection Force. The written exam is tentatively scheduled for 10 May 2026 (Sunday), followed by PET/PST/Trade Test from 25 May 2026 onwards.

• Constable Band (IRBn) - 44 posts (Post Code 5/26, male only)
• Constable Bugler (IRBn) - 2 posts (Post Code 6/26, male only)
• Constable IRBn - 236 posts (Post Code 7/26, male only)
• Constable Civil Police (Female) - 170 posts (Post Code 8/26)
• Constable Civil Police (Male) - 216 posts (Post Code 9/26)
• Fireman - 73 posts (Post Code 10/26, male only)
• Special Tiger Guard under STPF - 243 posts (Post Code 11/26, male & female)

Out of 984 vacancies, 787 are for APST, 197 are Unreserved, and 67 are reserved for Ex-Servicemen.

Who Can Apply?

• Nationality: Must be a citizen of India
• Education: Class X pass from a recognised board for all posts
• Additional for Constable Band: Knowledge in playing band
• Additional for Constable Bugler: Knowledge in playing bugle
• You must meet all conditions as on the closing date 10-04-2026

Age Limit

• Post Codes 5/26, 6/26, 7/26, 8/26, 9/26: 18 to 22 years
• Post Codes 10/26 (Fireman) and 11/26 (STPF): 18 to 32 years
• Age reference date: 10-04-2026
• APST candidates: Upper age relaxable by 5 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Actual service period deductible, resultant age not to exceed max limit by more than 3 years
• One-time age relaxation applies to Post Codes 5/26, 6/26, 8/26 and 9/26 for candidates who appeared in the 13/07/2025 exam under Advt No. 09/2020

Salary

• Pay Matrix Level: Level-3
• Pay Scale: Rs. 21,700 - Rs. 69,100 per month
• Plus allowances as per Arunachal Pradesh Government rules

Physical Standards

Male Candidates (Constable Band/Bugler/IRBn/Civil Police/Fireman)

• Height: 165 cm (General), 160 cm (APST other than Tirap/Changlang/Longding), 152 cm (APST Tirap/Changlang/Longding), 157 cm (APST Ex-Servicemen)
• Chest: 79 cm normal, 84 cm expanded
• PET: 100m in 16 sec, 1500m in 8 min, High Jump 107 cm, Long Jump 11 feet
• Fireman PET: 100m with 10 kg load in 1 min, 1500m in 8 min 30 sec, rope climbing 8 feet

Female Candidates (Civil Police)

• Height: 157 cm (General), 152 cm (APST)
• PET: 100m in 19 sec, 800m in 5 min, Long Jump 9 feet, High Jump 90 cm

Special Tiger Guard (STPF)

• Male Height: 163 cm (General), 152 cm (APST); Female Height: 150 cm (General), 145 cm (APST)
• Walk test: Male 25 km in 4 hrs, Female 14 km in 4 hrs

Vision: Distant 6/6 better eye, 6/12 worse eye (corrected), no colour blindness.

• APST candidates: Rs. 150
• Unreserved candidates: Rs. 200

Selection Process

1. Stage-I - Written Exam: Objective type MCQ, 200 marks, 2 hours duration. Subjects: General Awareness (50), Reasoning (50), Arithmetic (50), English (50). No negative marking. Minimum 33% aggregate required.
2. Stage-II - PST, PET & Trade Test: Candidates shortlisted in 1:3 ratio. Qualifying in nature. Trade test for Post Codes 5/26 & 6/26 only.
3. Stage-III - Medical Fitness Test: For Post Codes 5/26 to 10/26. Qualifying in nature.
4. Final Merit: Based on written exam marks and post preference only. Stage-II & III are qualifying.

Note: Post Code 11/26 (STPF) has only Stage-I & Stage-II.

3. Upload scanned signature (10-50 kb) and passport size photo (50-100 kb)
4. Indicate your preference of posts and department carefully - it cannot be changed later
5. Pay the examination fee online (Rs. 150 APST / Rs. 200 UR)
6. Submit the application before 10 April 2026, 3:00 PM
7. Download admit card from the APSSB website when released

• Follow orders of senior officers and adhere to uniformed service discipline
• Assist in crowd control, VIP security and border area duties (IRBn)
• Keep arms, equipment and uniform in serviceable condition
• Participate in physical training and drill regularly
