Who Can Apply?

Electrical / Electrical and Electronics

• Qualification: You need a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognised university, or an equivalent qualification recognised by AICTE and approved by UGC.

Telecom / Electronics

• Qualification: You need a degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification.

Civil Engineering

• Qualification: You need a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or an equivalent recognised qualification.

APGENCO Branches

• APGENCO Electrical branch: B.E., B.Tech or AMIE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• APGENCO Mechanical branch: Mechanical Engineering qualification as listed in the APGENCO notification.
• APGENCO Electronics branch: Electronics-related engineering qualification as listed in the APGENCO notification.
• APGENCO Civil branch: B.E., B.Tech or AMIE in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years as on 01 July 2026.
• OC / General: maximum age is 42 years.
• SC / ST / BC / EWS: maximum age is 47 years.
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: maximum age is 52 years.

Salary

• Probation salary: Rs. 75,000 per month consolidated during the 2-year probation period.
• After probation: time scale of pay is Rs. 86,245 to Rs. 2,08,915 per month under RPS-2022.
• Probation: Selected candidates are placed on probation for 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
• Service bond: Notifications mention a bond period linked to the probation and service conditions.

• Application fee for the Common Recruitment Test is Rs. 1,000.

Selection Process

The selection will be completed through a common Computer Based Test and certificate verification.

1. Computer Based Test: The CBT has 100 marks with core engineering and general sections.
2. Minimum Qualifying Marks: OC/EWS 40%, BC 35%, SC/ST/PwBD 30%.
3. No Negative Marking: The official notifications say there is no negative marking in the CBT.
4. Certificate Verification: Candidates are called for verification based on merit, reservation and vacancy requirement.
5. Final Allotment: Allotment depends on merit, utility preference, local candidature, rule of reservation and available vacancies.
