AP HMFW Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 - 150 Posts

The Regional Director of Medical and Health Services, Guntur Zone-III has issued Notification No. 01/2026 dated 17 March 2026 for filling up 150 vacant Staff Nurse positions on contract basis at GGH Piduguralla in Palnadu District. The contract is initially for one year and may be extended based on government instructions. There is no written exam — selection is entirely based on academic merit and experience weightage. If you hold a GNM or B.Sc Nursing degree with a valid nursing council registration, this is a great opportunity to work in a government hospital setting.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need to have passed General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc (Nursing) from a recognised institution.
• Registration: You must hold a valid registration certificate with APNMC (Andhra Pradesh Nursing & Midwifery Council) or any other relevant council.
• Local Candidature: Study certificates from Class IV to X are required to establish local candidature. Candidates who migrated from Telangana must submit a Local Candidature certificate as per GO No. 132 & 133 dated 13.06.2017.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 42 years as on 01 March 2026.
• SC/ST/BC/EWS: 5 years relaxation (upper limit becomes 47 years).
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years relaxation plus length of service in armed forces.
• Differently Abled (PwBD): 10 years relaxation.
• Maximum age with all relaxations combined: 52 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will be appointed on a contract basis. The salary will be paid as per the prevailing AP Government norms for contract Staff Nurses.
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Andhra Pradesh Government rules applicable to contract employees.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely merit-based. A merit list will be prepared out of 100 marks total:

1. Academic Merit (75 marks): 75% weightage is given to the aggregate marks you scored across all years of your GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualifying examination.
2. Experience Weightage (up to 10 marks): You get 1.0 mark for each completed year after acquiring your nursing qualification. This is counted from the date of passing up to the notification date.
3. Contract/Outsourcing/COVID Service Weightage (up to 15 marks): If you have worked on contract, outsourcing, or honorarium basis (including COVID-19 service), you can earn extra marks based on the area of service — 2.5 marks per 6 months in tribal areas, 2.0 marks per 6 months in rural areas, and 1.0 mark per 6 months in urban areas.
4. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will need to produce all original documents for verification.

Note: COVID-19 weightage applies only to those who served on contract/outsourcing/honorarium basis and were appointed by the District Collector or competent authority.

5. Enclose a self-addressed envelope (10 x 4 inches) with a postal stamp worth Rs. 40.
6. Submit the filled application by post or by hand at: Office of the Regional Director of Medical & Health Services, Aswini Hospital Backside, Old Itukulabatti Road, Guntur.
7. Deadline: Your application must reach the office on or before 25 March 2026 by 5:00 PM.
8. Collect an acknowledgment receipt with a check-slip of enclosures at the time of submission.

• Monitor vital signs and administer medicines as prescribed by attending doctors
• Assist doctors during ward rounds, minor procedures, and emergency situations
• Keep accurate records of patient health status, medicines given, and treatment progress
• Follow hospital infection control protocols and maintain hygiene standards in your ward
• Work in rotating shifts including night duty as required by the hospital schedule
• Educate patients and their families about post-treatment care and follow-up visits
• Prepare and maintain daily nursing reports for the ward in-charge
