GAIL (India) Limited is India's flagship natural gas company, integrating all aspects of the natural gas value chain including exploration, processing, transmission, distribution, and marketing. The company is now looking for committed medical professionals to serve at GAIL Hospital, Vijaipur, District Guna, Madhya Pradesh. This is a contract-based engagement under Advertisement No. GAIL/VIJP/MED/CONSUL/2026, and the initial tenure runs until December 31, 2026.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• MBBS degree from an MCI-recognized university with completed internship
• Registration with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council is mandatory
• Only full-time regular courses are accepted — part-time or distance learning MBBS is not valid
• MBBS degree must be from a UGC-recognized Indian University or AICTE-approved institution

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience is desirable
• Preference for candidates with full-time AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health) certificate approved by DGFASLI

Other Requirements

• Only Indian nationals can apply
• Internship training will not count as work experience

Salary and Benefits

• Consolidated Monthly Salary: Rs. 1,04,000/- per month
• OPD Allowance: Rs. 1,000/- per month (since in-house medical facility is not available at GAIL Vijaipur)
• Family Floater Insurance: Rs. 5,00,000 for indoor treatment — covers self, spouse, and two dependents (children or parents)
• Personal Accident Insurance: Rs. 12,00,000 covering disability and medical treatment
• Accommodation: Bachelor or family accommodation at Sr. Officer/Sr. Engineer level in GAIL residential colony (subject to availability)
• Leave: 12 casual leaves + 12 paid leaves per calendar year, plus compensatory off for extra duty
• TA/DA as per company rules

Selection Process

1. Screening of Applications: GAIL will shortlist candidates based on the application form and documents submitted. If applications are large in number, GAIL may raise the minimum eligibility standards to shortlist.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear before a Selection Committee for an interview. Detailed instructions will be sent to shortlisted candidates only.
3. Medical Fitness: Final appointment is subject to medical fitness as per GAIL's standards.

Note: No written exam is required. Selection is based on interview performance and credentials.

• Handle shift-duty medical consultations and provide primary healthcare services to GAIL employees and their dependents at GAIL Hospital, Vijaipur
• Manage emergency medical situations during assigned shifts, including first aid and stabilization of patients
• Keep accurate medical records, prescriptions, and patient documentation as per hospital protocols
• Assist in conducting pre-employment and periodic health check-ups for plant employees
• Monitor and manage occupational health concerns related to gas processing plant operations
• Follow all medical protocols, safety guidelines, and company health policies during duty hours
• Prepare medical reports, fitness certificates, and referral documents as required
• Work in rotating shifts to ensure round-the-clock medical coverage at the hospital facility
