Anna University is hiring 6 Project Associates on a temporary basis at the Centre for Environmental Studies (CES), Chennai. If you have a B.E. or B.Tech in Civil/Environmental Engineering or B.E. Anna University, through its Centre for Environmental Studies (CES), Chennai, has released Advertisement No. CES/Consultancy/Temporary Staff/2026 dated 05.05.2026 for engagement of 6 Project Associates on consolidated salary basis. The posts will work on Solid Waste Management and Biomining Consultancy projects for Salem, Vellore, Chennai, and Tambaram City Municipal Corporations. Final year M.E./M.Tech students are also eligible to apply.

• Project Associate-II (Salem - Chettichavadi dumpsite biomining): 1 post
• Project Associate-II (Vellore - Sathuperi/Kagithapattrai/Dharapadavedu dumpsites): 1 post
• Project Associate-II (Perungudi Dumpsite Phase II - PMC): 2 posts
• Project Associate-I (Perungudi Dumpsite Phase II - PMC): 1 post
• Project Associate-II (Tambaram - Kolathur Appur dumpsite): 1 post

Who Can Apply?

For Project Associate-II posts (Rs. 30,000/month):

• Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering / B.E. Environmental Engineering / B.E. Energy & Environment with M.E. or M.Tech in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Management
• Final year M.E./M.Tech students are also eligible to apply

For Project Associate-I post (Rs. 25,000/month):

• Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering / B.E. Environmental Engineering / B.E. Energy & Environment or M.Com / MBA / MCA

Salary

• Project Associate-II: Rs. 30,000 per month (consolidated)
• Project Associate-I: Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)
• Engagement is for 6 months, extendable based on performance up to the project period

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on academic qualification documents and experience submitted with the application
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at CES, Anna University, Chennai. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for the interview.

• Coordinate with Municipal Corporation officials and project stakeholders
• Handle data collection, sample analysis, and project documentation
• Assist senior project staff with field work and laboratory analysis
• Monitor day-to-day biomining and waste removal activities at the dumpsites
