Anna University (MIT Campus) CRS Project Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Anna University, through its Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) Campus at Chromepet, Chennai, has opened applications for 1 Project Fellow post under the research project titled "High-Strength, High-Temperature Silicone-Sheathed Flexible Metallic Conduit for Dynamic Reeling Applications". The project is funded by the UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research (CSR) and runs for 36 months. This is a great chance for fresh engineering postgraduates who want hands-on research work, and the selected candidate may also register for an M.S./Ph.D. programme at Anna University.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Robotics and Automation, Automobile, or a closely related branch, AND an M.E./M.Tech in Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation, Industrial Automation and Robotics, Automobile/Automotive, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, or Product Design and Development.
• You must have a First Class in your engineering degree.
• Your M.E./M.Tech should be not earlier than 3 years old.
• Desirable: A PG degree in the above specialization is highly preferred.
• If you hold a valid JEST/GATE/NET-JRF/Lectureship/UGC-CSIR NET and register for a Ph.D. under the Principal Investigator, you may be considered for the higher CRS Project Fellow - Junior II grade with a salary of Rs. 31,000 + HRA.

Salary

• CRS Project Fellow - Junior I: Rs. 18,200 per month (Rs. 14,000 basic + 30% HRA), consolidated.
• CRS Project Fellow - Junior II (if you have valid JEST/GATE/NET-JRF and Ph.D. registration): Rs. 31,000 + HRA as per UGC-DAE CSR norms.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened based on your qualifications.
2. Written Test and/or Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a written test and/or interview. No TA/DA is paid for attending.
3. Document Verification: Bring all your original certificates to the interview.

• Work under the guidance of the Principal Investigator at the MIT Campus lab
• Analyse experimental data and support project deliverables
• Assist in publishing research findings and project progress reports
