Aligarh Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026 - 237 Posts

The Office of the District Programme Officer, Aligarh (Bal Vikas Seva Evam Pushtahar Vibhag, Uttar Pradesh) has opened direct recruitment for 237 vacant Anganwadi Worker posts across 13 child development projects in Aligarh district, covering both city and village areas. This is a good chance for local women who want to serve in their own ward or gram sabha. These are honorarium-based posts under the ICDS programme, not regular pay-scale government jobs. You apply fully online at upanganwadibharti.in; offline forms are not accepted.

An Anganwadi centre is the ground-level unit of the ICDS scheme. It looks after the health, nutrition and early learning of children below 6 years, and supports pregnant women and new mothers in the area. As an Anganwadi Worker you become the face of this centre in your own neighbourhood, which is why only local resident women are picked for these posts. Once selected, you usually serve the same centre for many years.

Vacancy Breakdown by Project

The 237 Anganwadi Worker posts are spread across 13 projects:

  • Dhanipur: 28 posts
  • Jawan: 25 posts
  • Aligarh City: 23 posts
  • Lodha: 20 posts
  • Chandaus: 19 posts

The ward-wise, village-wise and category-wise reservation list is on the notice boards of the Collectorate, Vikas Bhawan, Tehsil and Block offices, and on upanganwadibharti.in.
