The Department of AYUSH at AIIMS Rishikesh has released a notification for 1 contractual post of Senior Health Educator under a 3-year ICMR-funded extramural research project titled "Efficacy of 6-month Holistic Ayurveda Intervention on Sarcopenia Related Clinical and Biochemical Outcomes among Elderly." The study is a multicentric randomized controlled trial that examines how an Ayurveda-based intervention can help elderly patients dealing with sarcopenia — the age-related loss of muscle mass and strength that can affect mobility in older adults. Prior experience in clinical trials will be given preference. This is a good opportunity for Yoga Therapy graduates or postgraduates who want to work on Ayurveda research at a premier medical institute, though the position is purely contractual and does not lead to a regular post at AIIMS Rishikesh.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (Option 1): Three-year graduate degree in Yoga Therapy with 3 years of post-qualification experience
• Qualification (Option 2): Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject/field
• Desirable: A higher degree is preferred. Prior experience in clinical trials is desirable and will be given preference.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit for this post is 35 years.

Salary

• You will get Rs. 28,000 per month plus 10% HRA (Rs. 2,800), totaling approximately Rs. 30,800 per month.

Note on the terms of the post: this is a purely contractual position, valid for 1 year or until the project is completed, whichever is earlier, and renewed annually based on performance. If selected, you must join within 5 working days of the result being declared. If you wish to resign, you need to give 1 month's notice — if you give less notice, you must deposit an amount equal to one month's salary to get your relieving certificate. This engagement does not entitle you to any regular post at AIIMS Rishikesh.
