The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh has released a walk-in notification (File No. AIIMSM-CFM/2/2025/4656) for 1 Project Associate-II post under an ANRF (Anusandhan National Research Foundation) extramural project. The project is titled "Development of a Low-Cost Artificial Intelligence-Driven Diagnostic Framework for the Detection of Reproductive Tract Infections in Primary Health Centers in India: Cytological Interpretation and Clinical Validation".

This is a purely contractual post for 3 years (or until the project ends, whichever is earlier), with no claim to a permanent job afterwards. The work mixes lab and field tasks — handling microscopes and image data, building AI models, and visiting primary health centres. Part-time engagement is not allowed, and no extra pay is given for field visits or travel. It is a strong fit if you have a research background in engineering, medicine, or life sciences and want hands-on work with AI and medical imaging.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or Medicine, OR a Master's degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics or allied Life Sciences from a recognised university or equivalent.
• 2 years of R&D experience in industrial or academic institutions, science and technology organisations, or scientific activities and services.

Desirable

• Basic knowledge of computer applications and previous experience in project-related field studies.
• Experience in handling microscopes, digital cameras, and image acquisition systems.
• Familiarity with object detection, image analysis, and advanced AI models such as YOLO and vision-based LLMs.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 35 years, calculated as on the date of the interview (14 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: The upper age limit can be relaxed as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA if you are selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship), GATE, or a national-level exam conducted by a Central Government department, agency, or institution.
• Rs. 33,000 per month + HRA for candidates who do not fall under the above category.
• No other allowances or facilities are given apart from this consolidated salary.

Selection Process

Selection is done through a walk-in interview at AIIMS Mangalagiri:

1. Registration & Document Verification: Report at the venue on 14 July 2026 from 9:00 AM. Candidates reaching after 10:00 AM will not be allowed to register or appear.
2. Walk-in Interview: Held on 14 July 2026 from 10:30 AM onwards at the Admin Building, AIIMS Mangalagiri.
3. Written Test (if needed): A written test may be conducted if a large number of candidates apply.
