All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi, through Dr. Mayank Singh (Additional Professor, Dept. of Medical Oncology Lab, BRA-IRCH), has invited applications for two research positions under a Department of Biotechnology (DBT)-funded project. The project is titled "Development of Bi-specific CAR Targeting BCMA-SLAMF7 (CS-1) in Multiple Myeloma." This is a 2-year contract position offering a chance to work at one of India's premier medical institutes on a nationally important cancer immunotherapy research programme. Researchers with a PhD, MD, or a Post Graduate degree in Basic Science with CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification are encouraged to apply.

Post Details

• Research Associate-1 (RA-1): Senior-level research position for PhD/MD/MS holders or those with 3+ years of experience after M.Tech/M.Pharm/MVSc with an SCI publication
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): For Post Graduate degree holders in Basic Science with CSIR-UGC NET/GATE or through national-level examinations, and 2 years of research experience as JRF

Who Can Apply?

For Research Associate-1 (RA-1)

• Ph.D. / MD / MS / MDS or an equivalent degree
• OR 3 years of research, teaching, and design & development experience after MVSc / M.Pharm / ME / M.Tech with at least one SCI journal publication

For Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

• Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science
• OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course selected through one of:
  • CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship / Assistant Professorship) or GATE
  • National-level exams by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MOE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
• 2 years of research experience after JRF qualification

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on the last date of application (23 April 2026)
• Age relaxation for reserved categories as per DBT/Government of India norms (not specified in notification)

Salary

• Research Associate-1 (RA-1): Rs. 58,000 per month (consolidated, as per DST/DBT revised guidelines effective January 2023)
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 42,000 per month (consolidated, as per DST/DBT revised guidelines effective January 2023)
• No other allowances are payable as per the notification
• Salary is consolidated — no TA/DA for attending the interview
