Maulana Azad Medical College is handling this centralised contractual engagement for hospitals and medical institutions under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of NCT of Delhi. The recruitment is for General Duty Medical Officers who will work across Delhi government hospitals. Selection is through interview, followed by document verification, medical fitness and police verification.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a recognised MBBS qualification included in the First Schedule, Second Schedule, or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Internship: You must have completed your compulsory rotating internship by 15 June 2026.
• Medical registration: You should have a valid Delhi Medical Council registration certificate at the time of joining.
• Government employees: If you are already in government service, you need to apply with a No Objection Certificate from your employer.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 32 years as per Delhi Health Service (Allopathy) Rules, 2009.
• The age will be checked as on 15 June 2026, the last date for submitting the Google Form.
• Age relaxation: SC, ST, OBC, PwD and EWS candidates will get relaxation as per applicable rules.

Salary

• The post carries consolidated pay under Pay Level 10 of the 7th CPC.
• Pay Level 10 usually starts at Rs. 56,100 per month and goes up to Rs. 1,77,500 per month.
• You can also get basic pay and other applicable allowances as per the prescribed guidelines.
• This is a contractual engagement for one year or till a regular doctor joins, whichever happens earlier.

The notification makes it clear that contractual doctors will not get a claim for regular appointment only because they served on contract. It also says private practice is not allowed, and service conditions will be governed by the contract agreement signed with the concerned hospital authority.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The MAMC GDMO selection is based on interview. There is no written exam mentioned in the notification.

1. Google Form submission: Submit the form before 15 June 2026 at 11:59 PM.
2. Interview: Interviews will start tentatively in the last week of June 2026 at MAMC and its associated hospitals.
3. Document Verification: Carry original documents and one set of self-attested copies from Class 10 onwards.
4. Medical Fitness and Police Verification: Final engagement depends on medical fitness, certificate verification and police verification.
