AIIMS Delhi Project Assistant I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi, through its Department of Plastic, Reconstructive & Burns Surgery, has issued a contractual vacancy notice for one Project Assistant I post. The position is attached to the DST-funded SUSHRUTA project, which aims to study and document the surgical heritage left by the ancient Indian surgeon Sushruta through visits to major institutes across India. This is a research-oriented contract role ideal for science and engineering graduates who want a foot in the door at AIIMS Delhi.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a B.Sc degree, OR a 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology from a recognised university, or an equivalent qualification.
• Skills (preferred): Good academic record, computer skills, awards and conferences, patents and publications are valued (you will need to share these in your application).
• Project area: Interest in research, surgical heritage documentation, and field visits to Indian institutes will help.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 50 years
• Age Relaxation: As per AIIMS / DST rules

Salary

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 20,000 per month (and above, based on experience)
• Plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) at 30% of the basic pay
• This is a project-linked contract post, so allowances and continuation depend on DST project funding
