Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must hold a medical degree included in Schedule I, Schedule II, or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• You must also hold a postgraduate degree (MD / MS / DM / M.Ch) in the relevant specialty from a recognised university.
• For super-specialty posts (Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, etc.) — DM or M.Ch in the relevant specialty is required.
• For other specialty posts — MD or MS in the relevant subject is required.
• You should have teaching and/or research experience as per AIIMS norms in a recognised medical college or institution.

Other Requirements

• You must be registered with the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council.
• You should have a good academic record and relevant publications or clinical experience.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 50 years for General / UR candidates
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Up to 53 years (3 years relaxation)
• SC / ST: Up to 55 years (5 years relaxation)
• PwBD (UR): Up to 60 years (10 years relaxation)
• PwBD (OBC): Up to 63 years (13 years relaxation)
• PwBD (SC/ST): Up to 65 years (15 years relaxation)
• Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen is applicable as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 1,42,506 per month
• This is a contractual consolidated pay package (not the regular pay scale).
• No separate DA, HRA, or allowances are payable above the consolidated amount for contract appointments.

Selection Process

There is no written examination for these posts. Selection is done through the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on eligibility, academic qualifications, and relevant experience as per AIIMS norms.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview conducted by a selection committee at AIIMS New Delhi.
3. Document Verification: Selected candidates must produce original documents before joining.
