ACTREC, the research and treatment satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre under the Department of Atomic Energy, has announced a walk-in interview for 2 seats in its specialised one-year fellowship programme in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) Nursing. Tata Memorial Centre is one of India's leading comprehensive cancer treatment, research, and education centres, and ACTREC serves as its dedicated research and training campus. Hematopoietic stem cell transplant is one of the most important treatment options for blood cancers, and this fellowship trains nurses to confidently and safely handle patient care before, during, and after transplant. The academic term runs from August 2026 to July 2027 (tentative), and successful trainees receive a certificate from the Tata Memorial Centre on completion. This fellowship is a strong career move for nurses who want to specialise in oncology and transplant care, an area with growing demand across cancer hospitals in India.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
• Experience: At least one year of clinical nursing experience is mandatory.
• Registration: You must be a registered nurse.
• Both male and female candidates can apply for this fellowship.

Completing this fellowship gives you specialised clinical exposure that regular staff nurse roles do not offer. It can open doors to senior nursing roles in bone marrow transplant and oncology units at hospitals across India, since trained HSCT nurses are still in short supply.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 40 years as on the last date of application.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates, as per rules.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a fixed monthly stipend of Rs. 32,000 for the full one-year fellowship.
• Sponsored candidates (already employed and deputed by their own organisation) will not receive this stipend.
• You will need to pay a course fee of Rs. 12,000 plus 18% GST and a refundable security deposit of Rs. 5,000 once selected.
• Hostel accommodation is available, subject to availability, at rates as per Tata Memorial Centre rules. The dress code for the fellowship is a nursing uniform (white overcoat).

If you leave the fellowship before completing it, you will have to repay the Institute an amount equal to the total stipend you received, along with interest. This condition, along with the security deposit, exists mainly to make sure trainees complete the full one-year programme.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Written Exam: ACTREC may conduct a written test to shortlist candidates for the interview. The detailed pattern is not specified in the notification.
2. Personal Interview: Held on 24 July 2026 at 10:00 AM at Room No. 68, Conference Room, Proton Therapy Centre, ACTREC, Kharghar.

ACTREC reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates called for the written exam and interview based on qualifications and marks. Meeting the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee an interview call, and the institute can also reject any application without assigning a reason.
