ACTREC, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, has released Advertisement No. ACTREC/Advt-130/2026 dated 06 July 2026 for two tenured (non-permanent) positions in the Department of Transfusion Medicine — a Senior Resident post and a 01 Year TMC Fellowship in Cellular Therapy in Transfusion Medicine. Both posts run for one year starting 1 August 2026, and hostel accommodation is available on campus subject to availability. This is a solid opportunity for doctors who want hands-on exposure to transfusion medicine and cellular therapy at one of India's leading cancer institutes. ACTREC, along with Tata Memorial Hospital, forms the clinical and research backbone of the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) network, giving residents and fellows exposure to a very high volume of oncology cases and a well-established transfusion medicine and blood banking setup.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Resident (MD/DNB, Rs. 1,33,623/month):

• Qualification: MD (Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion) / Transfusion Medicine or an equivalent PG degree.

For 01 Year TMC Fellowship (DM/DrNB, Rs. 1,45,530/month):

• Qualification: DM/DrNB or an equivalent higher PG degree relevant to Transfusion Medicine and Cellular Therapy.

All degrees must be recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Merely fulfilling the qualification criteria does not guarantee an interview call — ACTREC/TMC reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standards and shortlist candidates at its discretion.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 40 years old as on the advertisement date (06 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities.
• Carry proof of your date of birth and, if applicable, your category certificate when you attend the interview, since the reference date is checked against the advertisement date.

Salary

• Senior Resident (MD/DNB): Rs. 1,33,623 per month, consolidated and subject to experience.
• 01 Year TMC Fellowship (DM/DrNB): Rs. 1,45,530 per month, consolidated.
• Hostel accommodation is available on campus, subject to availability.

Application Fee

There is no application fee for this walk-in interview, which keeps the process affordable for candidates travelling from outside Mumbai. However, if you are selected, you must pay a security/caution deposit of Rs. 1,33,623 at the time of joining, or it will be deducted in five equal monthly instalments from your salary. This deposit is refunded without interest once you complete your residency or fellowship.

• If you resign after completing five months of service and give one month's notice (completing six months total), you get your deposit refunded.
• If you leave the post without serving the required notice period, your last month's salary (30 days) will be forfeited.
• If you are a 1-Year Fellow and leave before completing the fellowship, the entire deposit will be forfeited.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

Selection is done in one stage:

1. Walk-in Interview: Held in person at ACTREC. If you cannot attend physically, you can register for an online interview by emailing your documents in advance — only shortlisted candidates will receive the online interview link.

There is no written exam for these posts, and your final selection depends entirely on how you perform in this interview, along with your qualifications and experience.
