The Directorate of Research (Agri.), AAU, Jorhat has released Advertisement No. DR(A)/07, 2026 to fill 2 contractual posts under the DBT-funded project "Genomics assisted improvement of scented rice from Assam (Joha) & Manipur for yield enhancement under stress and improved nutrition". Both posts are filled through walk-in interview only — there is no written exam or online form. Who Can Apply?

For Research Associate-I (Rs. 58,000/month):

• Qualification: Ph.D in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Breeding and Genetics or Bio-Technology from a recognized university.

For Field Assistant (Rs. 20,000/month):

• Qualification: B.Sc in Agriculture or Biological Science from a recognized university.

Salary

• Research Associate-I: Rs. 58,000 per month + 9% HRA.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)
