Tezpur University Project Associate Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Tezpur University (TU), a Central University in Assam established by an Act of Parliament, has announced a walk-in interview for one Project Associate position in its Department of Energy. The post is attached to a BIRAC-sponsored research project titled "Developing a Climate Resilient Technology Utilizing the Indigenous Plant Growth Promoting Microbes for Growing Vegetables in the Rice Fallow Land of Assam," led by Principal Investigator Prof. Rupam Kataki. BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council) is a Government of India initiative that funds biotech research projects like this one. This is a temporary, project-linked role that runs initially up to 31 March 2027 and may be extended further based on your performance and the project's duration.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a Master's degree in Science, Agricultural Science, or Environmental Science.
• Preferred: Candidates with research experience related to this project and a strong research mindset will get preference during selection.

Age Limit

• You should not be more than 30 years old as on the date of the interview (27 August 2026).
• Age Relaxation: The upper age limit can be relaxed as per Government of India rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• You will also get House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible per government rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this post. Selection happens through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: The Selection Committee will check your original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from Class 10 onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, and publications (if any).
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on the spot by the Selection Committee.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
