About This Job

National Institute of Technology Warangal Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

National Institute of Technology Warangal has released Advertisement No. NITW/CED/GTE/NHAI/01-JRF/2026 for a JRF position under the project Stabilized Backfills to Improve Reinforced Earth Wall Performance. The project is funded by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), MoRTH, Government of India. The position is purely temporary and linked to the project work in geotechnical engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Execute research objectives for the NHAI-funded geotechnical engineering project
  • Collect field data needed for reinforced earth wall and backfill studies
  • Prepare numerical analysis, simulation models and technical reports
  • Use analytical modelling tools such as GeoStudio, Rock Science, MATLAB or PLAXIS 3D where required
  • Assist the Principal Investigator in literature review, experiments and documentation

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with First Class/Division and M.E./M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering with First Class/Division.

Preferred Qualification

GATE qualified candidates are desirable. Skills in GeoStudio, Rock Science, reinforced earth modelling, MATLAB, PLAXIS 3D, analytical modelling and technical writing are desirable.
