NHSRCL is hiring 3 senior officers in Rolling Stock — 1 Joint General Manager (JGM) and 2 Senior Managers — on absorption basis for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project. If you are a regular or contractual officer working in Central PSUs, SPVs, Metro Railways, Ministry of Railways or Government Departments with a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering, you can apply. National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), a joint sector company of the Government of India and Participating State Governments, is implementing India's first ever high-speed rail corridor between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Under Vacancy Notice No. 06/2026 and 07/2026, NHSRCL has invited applications from regular/contractual officers and managers working in Central PSUs, SPVs, Metro Railways, Ministry of Railways or Government Departments. This is a deputation/absorption opportunity to work on one of India's most ambitious rail infrastructure projects.

Who Can Apply?

For JGM (Rolling Stock) - 1 Post

  • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience (CPSE/SPV/Metro - IDA pay): Minimum 14 years post-qualification work experience (with at least 10 years in executive pay scales) AND working in analogous grade (E-6) IDA, OR working in Rs. 80,000-2,20,000 (E-5) for at least 2 years.
  • Experience (Railways/Govt - CDA pay): Minimum 14 years experience AND officer in PB-3 (15600-39100) + GP-7600 (Level 12), OR GP-6600 with 10+ years Group 'A' service, OR Grade Pay Rs. 6600 with total 25 years service including Group B/C.

For Senior Manager (Rolling Stock) - 2 Posts

  • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience (CPSE/SPV/Metro - IDA pay): Minimum 8 years post-qualification work experience (with at least 5 years in executive pay scales) AND working in analogous grade (E-4) IDA, OR working in Rs. 60,000-1,80,000 (E-3) for at least 2 years.
  • Experience (Railways/Govt - CDA pay): Minimum 8 years experience AND officer in Group 'A' PB-3 (15600-39100 + GP-5400 & GP-6600) up to 6 years service, OR Group 'B' PB-2 GP-5400/4800 (Level 8/9), OR PB-2+GP 4600 for minimum 1 year with 20+ years Group 'C' service.

Essential Work Experience

  • JGM: Experience in EMU Rolling Stock for High Speed Railway/RRTS/Railway/Metro — Design review of Electrical System, Testing & Commissioning of Rolling Stock (Electrical), and Execution/project monitoring of Rolling Stock.
  • Senior Manager: Setting up/maintenance of modern Traction Rolling Stock Depot/Workshop for High Speed Railway/Railway/Metro/RRTS, OR Design, Testing & Commissioning and Execution of EMU Rolling Stock.
  • Teaching/Faculty/Apprenticeship/Internship/Proprietorship/Partnership/Freelancer experience will NOT be counted.

  • Maximum age: 45 years (for both posts)
  • Experience and eligibility criteria reckoned as on 30 April 2026

Salary

  • JGM (Rolling Stock): Rs. 90,000 - 2,40,000 (E6 grade) — approximate CTC of Rs. 42 lakh per annum
  • Senior Manager (Rolling Stock): Rs. 70,000 - 2,00,000 (E4 grade) — approximate CTC of Rs. 32 lakh per annum
  • Plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per IDA pattern of NHSRCL

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting: Based on initial scrutiny of online application and supporting documents.
  2. Presentation: Shortlisted candidates will give a small presentation on jobs handled and experience in areas detailed in the job description.
  3. Interview
  4. Medical Examination: As per Executive/Technical medical standards. Distant Vision 6/9-6/9 or 6/6-6/12 with or without glasses; Near Vision JI-JII; Color Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision and Night Vision must be normal. Lasik surgery is not allowed.

Out-station candidates called for interview will be paid TA as per company rules. Management may include or dispense with any selection method as deemed fit.

Service Bond

  • Joining Bond: Rs. 4,00,000 surety bond to serve NHSRCL for a minimum of 3 years (excluding LWP/EOL period). 90 days prior notice required before resignation.
  • Training Bond: If imparted training, additional bond for Cost of Training plus service tax to serve for 5 years after training completion. 3 months prior notice required before resignation.
  • Probation: 1 year probation period after appointment on absorption basis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct design review of Electrical system of Rolling Stock for high-speed rail (JGM)
  • Handle Testing and Commissioning of Rolling Stock including Electrical system and Integrated Testing
  • Manage execution, project monitoring and interface management of Rolling Stock
  • Monitor maintenance of Rolling Stock across the MAHSR corridor
  • Prepare DPR of Rolling Stock and Depot, and coordinate related activities (Senior Manager)
  • Set up modern Traction Rolling Stock Depots and Workshops as per high-speed rail standards
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation of Rolling Stock and Depot operations
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned from time to time by the Management

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (JGM) or Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering (Senior Manager) or equivalent, plus working in IDA/CDA pay scales of CPSE/SPV/Metro/Railways/Govt Departments

Preferred Qualification

Experience in EMU Rolling Stock for High Speed Railway, RRTS, Railway or Metro projects
