Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification accepted by the government.
• Computer knowledge: You must have basic computer knowledge as required under Gujarat Civil Services rules.
• Language: You need enough knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.
• Preferred qualification: Candidates with B.Sc Forestry as a main subject can get extra weightage equal to 10% of written exam marks.
• Disability certificate: You need a valid benchmark disability certificate in the prescribed Form V, VI or VII, as applicable.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 18 years old and not more than 35 years old as on 18 June 2026.
• PwBD age relaxation: male candidates in general category get 10 years relaxation; female candidates in general category get 15 years relaxation, subject to the maximum age rule.
• Reserved category PwBD relaxation: reserved male candidates get 15 years relaxation and reserved female candidates get 20 years relaxation, subject to a maximum of 45 years.

Salary

• For the first five years, selected candidates will get a fixed salary of Rs. 26,000 per month.
• After satisfactory service, the post moves to Pay Level-4 with salary range of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month.
• Other benefits will be as per Gujarat Government rules and the finance department resolutions mentioned in the notice.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates

• Scheduled Tribe candidates of Gujarat: height 155 cm, chest 79 cm normal and 84 cm expanded, weight 50 kg.
• Other male candidates: height 163 cm, chest 79 cm normal and 84 cm expanded, weight 50 kg.
• Chest expansion: minimum expansion should not be less than 5 cm.

For Female Candidates

• Scheduled Tribe candidates of Gujarat: height 145 cm and weight 45 kg.
• Other female candidates: height 150 cm and weight 45 kg.

Physical Fitness Test

• Male candidates: 1600 metre run in 6 minutes, high jump 4 feet 3 inches, long jump 15 feet, 8 pull-ups and rope climbing 18 feet.
• Female candidates: 800 metre run in 4 minutes, high jump 3 feet and long jump 9 feet.
• Ex-servicemen standards: separate relaxed timing and measurements are listed in the official notice.

Application Fee

• PwBD / reserved candidates: Rs. 400 exam fee.
• Refund rule: the fee will be refunded to candidates who appear in the exam.
• Payment mode: online payment through debit card, internet banking, UPI or wallet.
• Last date for fee payment: 20 June 2026 up to 23:59 hours.

Selection Process

The selection process has written exam, physical test and document verification. You must first qualify in the written exam to be called for the physical fitness test.

1. Written Exam: MCQ type CBRT/OMR exam with 100 questions for 200 marks.
2. Minimum qualifying marks: you need at least 40%, which means 80 marks out of 200, to qualify for the physical fitness test.
3. Physical Fitness Test: qualifying test with running, high jump, long jump and other post-specific standards.
4. Document Verification: candidates who clear the physical test will be called as per merit and vacancy ratio.
5. Final Merit: written exam marks plus applicable weightage such as B.Sc Forestry, sports certificate or NCC C certificate, if valid.
