Salary

• Fixed pay for first 5 years: Rs. 26,000 per month.
• Regular pay after satisfactory 5-year service: Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month under Level-2.
• Other benefits and allowances will follow Gujarat Government rules.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates

• Non-ST candidates: Height 165 cm, chest 79 cm normal / 84 cm expanded, weight 50 kg.
• ST candidates of Gujarat: Height 162 cm, chest 79 cm normal / 84 cm expanded, weight 50 kg.
• Physical test: 800 metres run in 5 minutes.
• Ex-servicemen physical test: 1200 metres run in 8 minutes.

For Female Candidates

• Non-ST candidates: Height 155 cm and weight 40 kg.
• ST candidates of Gujarat: Height 150 cm and weight 40 kg.
• Physical test: 400 metres run in 3 minutes.

Application Fee

• Exam fee for the preliminary exam: Rs. 400.
• Payment mode: Online only through debit card, internet banking, UPI, or wallet.
• Last date for fee payment: 20 June 2026 up to 23:59.
• The fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the examination.

Selection Process

The GSSSB Jamadar selection has preliminary exam, physical test, main exam, and document verification. The preliminary exam is used to shortlist candidates for the physical stage.

1. Preliminary Exam: 100 MCQ questions for 100 marks, 1 hour duration, with 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.
2. Physical Efficiency / Standards Test: Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam must complete the running test and meet physical standards.
3. Main Exam: 100 MCQ questions for 100 marks, 1 hour duration, with Gujarati, English, and General Studies sections.
4. Document Verification: Candidates qualifying the main exam will be called as per merit for original document verification.

You need at least 40% marks in the preliminary exam to be considered for the physical test. The exam medium is Gujarati, except for the English section.
