Who Can Apply?

For Staff Nurse (Ayurveda)

• Qualification: You need a Diploma of Ayurvedic Nursing, also called an Ayurved Nursing Course Certificate, from the Gujarat Ayurvedic Nursing Faculty established by the Government of Gujarat.
• Registration: You must be registered with the Gujarat Board of Ayurvedic and Unani System of Medicine at the time of application, if you are not already registered.
• Language: You need adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.
• Computer knowledge: Basic computer knowledge is required as per Gujarat Civil Services rules.

For Pharmacist/Compounder (Ayurveda)

• Qualification option 1: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Ayurveda) from a recognised university or equivalent institution.
• Qualification option 2: Diploma in Pharmacy (Ayurveda) from a recognised university or equivalent institution, with about 2 years of experience as Pharmacist or Compounder in Government, local body, government undertaking, board, corporation, or a limited company.
• Language: You need adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.
• Computer knowledge: Basic computer knowledge is required as per Gujarat Civil Services rules.

Age Limit

• Staff Nurse (Ayurveda): 18 to 45 years as on 12 March 2026.
• Pharmacist/Compounder (Ayurveda): 18 to 35 years as on 16 March 2026, with PwD relaxation as per the notice and a maximum cap of 45 years.
• PwD relaxation: General male PwD candidates get 10 years, general female PwD candidates get 15 years, reserved male PwD candidates get 15 years, and reserved female PwD candidates get 20 years, subject to the maximum age limit mentioned in the notice.
• Government servants: Relaxation may apply as per Gujarat Government service rules.

Salary

• Fixed pay: Rs. 40,800 per month for the first five years.
• Regular pay after five years: Level-5 pay scale of Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month, subject to satisfactory service and applicable government conditions.
• Allowances: Other benefits and allowances will apply as per Gujarat Government rules and the finance department resolutions mentioned in the notice.

Application Fee

• Unreserved category: Rs. 500
• Reserved categories, all women, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD and ex-servicemen: Rs. 400
• Payment mode: Online payment through OJAS using debit card, internet banking, UPI or wallet.
• Refund rule: The exam fee is refundable to candidates who appear in the examination, as stated in the original advertisement.

Selection Process

Selection will be through a single-stage MCQ-based competitive exam conducted through CBRT or OMR mode, followed by document verification as required by GSSSB.

1. Written Exam: Part-A has 90 questions and Part-B has 120 questions, for a total of 210 questions.
2. Exam Duration: You will get 3 hours for Part-A and Part-B together.
3. Negative Marking: 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
4. Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted as per GSSSB rules must show original qualification, age, category, disability and other required certificates.
