Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has issued Corrigendum-2 for Advertisement No. 366/2025-26. The updated notice increases Sub Accountant/Sub Auditor vacancies from 321 to 671, while the Accountant/Auditor/Deputy Treasury Officer/Superintendent vacancies remain 105. This recruitment is for the Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries under the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Sc in Mathematics or Statistics, or BA in Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics from a recognised university or equivalent institution.
• Degree result condition: People waiting for qualifying degree results can appear in the preliminary exam, but they must produce proof of passing before the main exam stage.
• Not eligible: The notice says B.Sc (CA & IT) and M.Sc (CA & IT) degree holders are not treated as qualified for these posts.
• Computer knowledge: You need basic computer knowledge as required under Gujarat service rules.
• Language knowledge: You should have enough knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 20 years old and not more than 35 years old as on 30 November 2025.
• General women: 5 years relaxation, maximum 40 years.
• Reserved category men: 5 years relaxation, maximum 40 years.
• Reserved category women: 10 years relaxation, maximum 45 years.
• PwD candidates: Relaxation is available as per category, subject to a maximum age limit of 45 years.
• Ex-servicemen: Service period plus 3 years relaxation is available as per rules.

Salary

• Sub Accountant / Sub Auditor: Fixed pay of Rs. 26,000 per month for the first five years.
• Accountant, Auditor / Deputy Treasury Officer / Superintendent: Fixed pay of Rs. 49,600 per month for the first five years.
• Regular pay after fixed-pay period: Sub Accountant/Sub Auditor moves to Rs. 25,500-81,100 Level 4, while Accountant/Auditor/DTO/Superintendent moves to Rs. 39,900-1,26,600 Level 7, subject to Government rules and satisfactory service.

Application Fee

• Preliminary Exam Fee - Unreserved: Rs. 500.
• Preliminary Exam Fee - Reserved groups: Rs. 400 for all women, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD, and ex-servicemen categories.
• Main Exam Fee - Unreserved: Rs. 600.
• Main Exam Fee - Reserved groups: Rs. 500.
• Refund rule: The fee paid is refundable to people who appear in the examination.
• Payment mode: Online payment through OJAS. For the reopened window, the last date for online fee payment is 2 July 2026.

Selection Process

The recruitment will be conducted in two written stages: preliminary examination and main examination.

1. Preliminary Exam: Objective MCQ paper of 150 marks for 2 hours. Each question carries 1 mark, and each wrong answer carries negative marking of 0.25 mark.
2. Main Exam Shortlisting: About 7 times the advertised vacancies may be called for the main examination, based on preliminary exam performance and availability.
3. Main Exam: Descriptive exam with 2 papers of 100 marks each. Each paper is for 3 hours.
4. Merit List: The final selection list will be prepared from Main Examination marks. Preliminary marks are used only for eligibility to the main exam.
5. Document Verification: GSSSB will verify original documents, qualification, age, category, and other claims before final appointment.
