National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) Group General Manager/Chief Project Manager (Civil) Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

NCRTC is a joint venture between the Government of India and the state governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, working under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. It is building the Namo Bharat project, India's first high-speed, high-capacity regional rail system connecting towns across the National Capital Region. The Delhi-Meerut corridor is already running commercial services, and two more corridors -- Delhi-Gurugram-SNB-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat-Karnal -- are being planned. NCRTC now needs experienced civil engineering officers on deputation to manage viaduct, tunnel and station construction, track laying, and contract administration for these upcoming corridors. The deputation term is normally up to 5 years, and you could be posted at any NCRTC office, project unit, or subsidiary/joint venture location. This is a rare chance to work on one of the largest and most technically complex rail infrastructure projects in the country, alongside international best practices in tunneling and high-speed rail construction.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Full Time) or its equivalent. A PG Degree/Diploma in Construction Management, or a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering/MBA in a relevant field, is preferred.
• Experience (Route 1): Minimum 17 years of experience in a Central Government organized Group 'A' Service related to Civil Engineering.
• Experience (Route 2): Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience at Executive Level E2 (Rs. 50,000-1,60,000) / L9 (Rs. 53,100-1,67,800) or above in a CPSE, PSU, or Central/State Government, related to Civil Engineering.
• Domain Experience: At least 10 years of technical experience in construction of viaducts, tunnels, elevated/underground stations, or track for RRTS/Highway/Railway/Metro systems. You get 2 years of relaxation in the experience above if you have more than 12 years of domain experience.
• Desired Skills: Tunneling, Contract Management under FIDIC, Project Planning, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Procurement.

Domain Experience NCRTC is Looking For:

• Planning and construction of underground tunnels and stations for the Namo Bharat RRTS system
• Construction of viaducts for RRTS, highway, railway, or metro systems
• Construction of elevated and underground stations, and new rail lines
• Construction and maintenance of track for metro/RRTS systems, including laying ballasted and ballastless track
• Planning and construction of depots and other ancillary stations
• Contract management of FIDIC and non-FIDIC contracts, covering progress monitoring, contractual correspondence, and dispute resolution
• Quality assurance during construction, alignment fixing, utility shifting, and coordination with utility owners and government agencies
• Land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation, and preparation of bid documents including Bill of Quantities (BOQ)

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 55 years as on 29 June 2026.
• Eligibility for deputation of Central/State Government employees will follow DoPT guidelines.

Salary

• Under the CDA pay scale, you will get Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month (Level 14) or above.
• Under the IDA pay scale, you will get Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,80,000 per month (E8) or above, or if you have spent the last 4 years in pay scale Rs. 1,00,000-2,60,000 (E7).
• NCRTC also provides Transport, Medical, Laptop, Mobile handset, Electricity and Phone allowances, plus company or leased accommodation as per your entitlement.

Selection Process

Since this is a deputation posting, there is no written exam. Selection happens in 2 stages:

1. Document Verification: You must carry your original certificates for verification before the interview. Without this, you will not be allowed to appear.
2. Interview: A merit list is prepared based on your interview score. You need at least 60% marks in the interview to be considered suitable.
