Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (GMDC) is engaging a Manager - Chemical (Coal Gasification) for gasification project sites in Gujarat and Odisha. This full-time contractual role supports the process side of the work from feasibility and pilot activity through commissioning and stable plant operation. Reporting to the DGM (Coal Gasification), the manager becomes the daily process link among GMDC, the technology partner, consultants, commissioning engineers and site teams.

The assignment is built around process readiness, operating performance and safe plant start-up. It suits someone comfortable reading process documents, following gas quality and effluent performance, investigating operating deviations and coordinating technical changes. The selected professional must be ready to work at project sites and in shifts when operations require it.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The initial engagement is for three years. GMDC may extend it for up to one additional year after reviewing functional needs, performance and medical fitness.
• Contract status: The appointment stays contractual and does not give you a claim to a regular GMDC position.
• Project mobility: Work may be assigned at gasification project sites in Gujarat or Odisha. The declaration in the form also accepts transfer to another GMDC project.
• Operating routine: The role can cover commissioning, trial runs, start-up and stable operation rather than a fixed desk schedule. Site presence and shift work are part of the assignment.
• Notice period: Either side may end the engagement with one month's prior notice. GMDC may terminate it immediately by paying one month's consolidated pay in place of notice.
• Facilities: GMDC provides a transport facility. Tour travel is covered under corporation rules, while the notice promises no other allowance.
• Interview arrangements: The committee may speak with shortlisted applicants in person or through video conference. Travel support for an in-person meeting follows the rules applicable to GMDC employees.
