• Direct recruitment fallback: The annexure mentions a Civil Engineering degree plus 17 years executive-cadre experience in planning, construction, design or maintenance, preferably of port and marine structures.
• APAR standard: Overall grading in APARs/ACRs should not be below Very Good.

How to Apply

4. Submit the printout to your administrative Port for forwarding through proper channel.
5. The administrative Port must forward the application with documents before 28 July 2026.
6. The envelope or forwarding note should mention Application for the post of Chief Engineer in Mumbai Port Authority.

Documents to Forward

• APARs/ACRs: Certified copies for the last 5 years, from 2020-21 to 2024-25, must be enclosed.
• Service proof: Send certificates and proof for educational qualification, present service, past service, post held and pay scale.
• NOC and clearances: The forwarding Port must send the No Objection Certificate, vigilance clearance and administrative clearance.
• Applicant undertaking: The officer must give an undertaking that the application will not be withdrawn if selected by the Services Selection Committee.
• Photographs: Two passport size photographs are required with the forwarded application.

Proper channel is important for this post. If an advance copy reaches Mumbai Port Authority but the proper-channel application does not reach within the allowed time, the Ministry may not consider the officer for selection.
