Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) DIET Lecturer Recruitment 2026 - 86 Posts

Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released Notification No. 04/G/SE/2026 for Senior Lecturers in DIET and Lecturers in DIET in the School Education Department. The recruitment covers 19 post codes across senior lecturer, education, language, maths, science, social studies, psychology, statistics, art, education technology and physical education roles. Local reservation of 95% applies within the notified multi-zones, so Telangana local status is important for reservation and ranking.

The posts are split between Multi Zone-I and Multi Zone-II. You should check your local status, school study certificates and community documents before filling the form because reservation, ranking and final allotment depend on the rules in the notification.

Who Can Apply?

Main Lecturer and Senior Lecturer Posts

• Qualification: You generally need a Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a UGC-recognised university.
• Professional qualification: Most posts also need M.Ed with at least 55% marks from an NCTE-recognised institution.
• Relaxed marks: SC, ST, BC and differently abled applicants need 50% marks in academic and professional qualifications.

Subject-Specific Conditions

• Language posts: English, Telugu and Urdu lecturer posts need the matching PG subject and methodology conditions mentioned in the notice.
• Urdu-medium posts: You need Urdu-medium study or Urdu as a language at SSC, Intermediate or degree level as specified.
• Art Education: PG in Fine Arts (Applied Art), or PG in any subject plus Degree in Fine Arts, with required marks.
• Physical Education: PG Degree in Physical Education with at least 55% marks.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 44 years
• Age date: Age is counted as on 1 July 2026.
• Age relaxation: Telangana State Government employees get up to 5 years; Ex-Servicemen and NCC instructors get 3 years plus service period; SC/ST/BC/EWS get 5 years; physically handicapped applicants get 10 years.
• Superannuation condition: No person can apply if they crossed 61 years.

Salary

• Senior Lecturer, DIET: Rs. 58,850 to Rs. 1,37,050 per month
• Lecturer in DIET: Rs. 54,220 to Rs. 1,33,630 per month
• Allowances: State government allowances will apply as per Telangana rules.

Application Fee

• OC and BC application processing fee: Rs. 1,000
• SC, ST and PwD application processing fee: Rs. 500
• Examination fee: Rs. 120
• Unemployed applicants are exempted from the examination fee.
• Payment mode: Online payment through the TGPSC payment gateway.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on an objective written examination, held either in CBRT mode or OMR-based offline mode. The final selection depends on marks secured in the examination, post preference and available vacancies.

1. Written Examination: Paper I and Paper II together carry 450 marks.
2. Ranking and Web Options: Selection and allotment will follow merit and order of preference against available vacancies.
3. Document Verification: TGPSC can verify original documents at any stage.
4. Medical Examination: Final appointment is subject to medical fitness and satisfactory character and conduct.

Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for OC, sportspersons and EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC, ST and PH. Mere qualifying marks do not guarantee selection.
