About This Job
Apply for 2 Legal Apprentice posts in TCIL. Three-year or integrated LLB eligible. Stipend: Rs 12,300. Last date: 18 Sep 2026.
TCIL Legal Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview
Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Government of India public-sector enterprise, is forming a panel of Legal Apprentices for training at TCIL Bhawan in New Delhi. TCIL works across telecom, information technology and civil projects in India and overseas, giving a law graduate the chance to observe legal work inside a technical PSU. The engagement is governed by the Apprentices Act and is training rather than a regular TCIL appointment.
This opportunity suits a recent law graduate who wants exposure to an organisation working with projects, contracts and public-sector procedures. The notice accepts both the three-year LLB route and the five-year integrated law route, provided the course has the required Bar Council of India approval. TCIL describes the exercise as empanelment for future requirements, so placement depends on organisational need and candidate suitability.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Training tenure: the legal apprenticeship runs for one year under the Apprentices Act and TCIL's applicable policies.
- Qualification period: your law qualification must have been acquired during or after the passing period stated in the notice.
- Prior apprenticeship: you cannot join if you are already undergoing or have previously completed apprenticeship training under the Act.
- No regular-job claim: completing the programme creates no right to a permanent or regular position with TCIL.
- Undertaking: provisionally selected trainees must confirm that they will not seek TCIL employment merely because they completed the apprenticeship.
- Seat flexibility: TCIL may increase or reduce the requirement, cancel part or all of the process, or leave positions unfilled when suitable candidates are unavailable.
- Reservation: applicable government reservation rules will be followed, with adjustment among categories if candidates are unavailable in a reserved category.
- Communication: candidate updates are sent to the registered email address, so enter an address that you check regularly.
- Travel costs: no TA or DA is paid for the interview, certificate verification or joining.
Application Submission Notes
Send the filled prescribed application with supporting certificates to The Chief General Manager (HRD), TCIL Bhawan, Greater Kailash-I, New Delhi-110048. If postal delivery is inconvenient, TCIL also permits a scanned copy of the complete application and supporting records to be emailed to tcilapprentice2021@gmail.com. Your form should clearly identify the legal apprenticeship and include reliable contact details.
You must hold a valid National Apprenticeship Training Scheme registration and NATS ID, and your profile should be verified through the relevant regional board. The notice also allows an application through the NATS portal. Keep the original academic and supporting records ready because TCIL checks certificates before final joining.
This is an apprenticeship panel rather than an assurance that every notified position will be filled. TCIL management makes the final decision on eligibility and suitability, and it may not issue an individual reply or call letter to every applicant who is not selected.
