SBI Wealth Officers Recruitment 2026: Overview
State Bank of India (SBI) is building its wealth-management leadership and client-advisory teams through a contractual Specialist Cadre Officer drive. The roles sit across zonal, regional, team-lead, investment-advisory and relationship-management levels, making this recruitment relevant to experienced banking and financial-services professionals rather than fresh graduates. Circle preferences matter for most roles, although SBI can consider you for another circle or transfer the engagement when business needs require it.
Posts and Disciplines
- Zonal Head Retail: leads wealth-management sales and team performance across the East Zone from Kolkata.
- Regional Head: manages wealth teams and client growth across selected regional centres.
- Relationship Manager-Team Lead: guides relationship managers serving affluent and high-net-worth clients.
- Investment Specialist: provides product research, portfolio guidance and investment-market expertise.
- Investment Officer: supports advisers and clients with product analysis, market views and portfolio inputs.
- Vice President Wealth: acquires and manages affluent and ultra-high-net-worth relationships.
- Assistant Vice President Wealth: develops affluent client portfolios and distributes suitable banking, insurance and investment products.
Post-wise Duties
Zonal and Regional Heads
You will lead sales, relationship and investment teams, allocate clients and leads, monitor business goals and keep customer-service standards consistent. The work also includes strengthening controls, handling complaints and running client meets or investment-awareness programmes.
Relationship Manager-Team Lead
You will coach relationship managers, deepen affluent and HNI client relationships, and help the team grow deposits, investments and appropriate cross-sales. You are also responsible for timely client instructions and complete transaction documentation.
Investment Specialist and Investment Officer
You will research markets and products, prepare investment presentations and house views, and help client-facing teams with financial-needs analysis, risk profiling and portfolio reviews. Your advice must stay aligned with product certification and compliance requirements.
VP Wealth and AVP Wealth
You will acquire and serve affluent clients, assess their financial needs and risk profile, and connect them with suitable investment, insurance and banking products. Regular portfolio reviews, same-day execution of instructions and careful documentation are central to these roles.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract: the initial term is five years and may be renewed for a further period at SBI's discretion, subject to stipulated conditions.
- Exit notice: either side may end the contract with two months' notice or compensation in place of that notice.
- Posting: preferences are considered, but SBI may post, transfer or depute an officer anywhere in India according to business needs.
- Previous non-joining or resignation: specified candidates from earlier SBI wealth-management engagements can face a two-year bar, while a prior caution notice can bar future participation.
- Reservation records: category and disability claims remain subject to valid certificates in the prescribed government format.
- Current employees: people working in SBI Group companies must provide a no-objection certificate from their employer.
