RITES Metro Works Recruitment 2026: Overview

RITES Limited, a NavRatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, is hiring three senior engineering professionals for its Metro Works vertical — a GM (Team Leader), a JGM (Geotechnical Expert) and a DGM (Architect). These posts support RITES' general consultancy assignments on Metro, MRTS, RRTS and high-speed rail projects across India. All three posts are on regular basis with an initial probation period, and selection runs entirely through a technical interview — there is no written exam. Experienced civil engineers, geotechnical specialists and architects with a strong metro or rail-transit consultancy background can apply.

Posts and Disciplines

• GM (Team Leader / Metro Works): leads project management and overall coordination of metro and rail transit projects, drawing on prior experience as a Team Leader, Project Director or Dy. Project Director in general consultancy assignments.
• JGM (Geotechnical Expert / Metro Works): reviews and prepares geotechnical investigation reports and foundation design parameters for elevated and underground metro structures.
• DGM (Architect / Metro Works): handles architectural design and drawing of elevated and underground metro stations, with hands-on BIM expertise required.

Post-wise Duties

GM (Team Leader / Metro Works)

You will plan, monitor and deliver metro and rail-transit consultancy assignments end-to-end, coordinating between client agencies, design teams and site staff to keep projects on schedule.

JGM (Geotechnical Expert / Metro Works)

You will assess soil and site conditions, finalize foundation design parameters, and support temporary and enabling works for elevated and underground metro structures.

DGM (Architect / Metro Works)

You will prepare architectural designs and BIM-based drawings for metro stations, working closely with the structural and geotechnical teams on station layouts.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Probation: The appointment starts with a one-year probation period; confirmation depends on clearing a screening test at the end of probation.
• Posting liability: Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India or abroad as per company requirements.
• Pay protection: Candidates joining from government, PSU or autonomous bodies through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate get pay protection (Basic+DA) as per company policy.
• Private-sector route: Candidates from the private sector must currently be drawing a package at or above the level expected for the post they apply to.
• Interview language: Candidates can choose to appear for the interview in Hindi or English.
• Selection basis: There is no written exam — the entire selection runs through a technical interview only.
