About This Job

Apply for 12 Bilingual Typist and Operations Assistant posts in NTA. Class 12 eligible. Salary: Rs 75,000. Last date: 16 Sep 2026.

NTA Bilingual Typist and Operations Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous organisation under the Department of Higher Education, is building a dedicated team for bilingual typing, document processing and operational support. The team will support an agency that handles major national entrance and fellowship examinations, where clean documents and dependable language work directly affect candidates across India. This is a fixed-term contractual engagement, not an appointment to a regular government post.

The role brings language work and office operations together. You may prepare and format multilingual material, check translated content, compile information for reports and coordinate with NTA officers and subject experts. The agency can move selected personnel between activities as its examination workload changes, so the position suits someone who is comfortable switching between typing, proofreading, file preparation and administrative support.

NTA works with confidential examination records and controlled workflows. That makes accuracy, attention to detail and careful document handling central to the job. Your work may be reviewed for typing accuracy, productivity, document quality, reporting and compliance with security procedures. Familiarity with common office software and digital document formats will help you settle into the role, while any assigned use of MathType or InDesign can be learned after joining.

The notification treats language ability as an operational skill, not merely an academic credential. You will need to preserve meaning while keeping layouts, scripts and file formats consistent, and proofreading is part of the quality-control work. Someone who enjoys precise language work but can also handle spreadsheets, reports and routine coordination should find the mix practical. Work priorities can change with NTA's examination calendar and document volume.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Contract tenure: The initial engagement runs for five years and may be extended only when performance is satisfactory and NTA continues to need the role.
  • No regularisation: The contract does not create a right to permanent absorption or appointment against a regular post.
  • Work schedule: This is a full-time assignment, and examination operations may require extended hours or work on weekends and holidays.
  • Leave: Personnel receive eight days of leave per year on a proportionate basis, along with public holidays observed by NTA.
  • Confidentiality: You must sign the prescribed non-disclosure agreement, follow access controls and keep every record or discussion connected with the work confidential, including after the engagement ends.
  • Termination: Either side may normally end the engagement with one month's written notice; serious misconduct, security breaches or unsatisfactory performance can lead to termination without notice.
