NILD Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan) (NILD) is hiring for clinical, rehabilitation, teaching, technical and support roles across its institute and regional network. The appointments are purely contractual and support services for persons with disabilities under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Posts and Disciplines

• NILD Kolkata: PM&R, prosthetics, physiotherapy, administration, law, pathology, hostel, nursing, special education, caregiving, occupational therapy and pharmacy roles.
• CRC Patna: faculty, administration, orientation and mobility, workshop, therapy, early-intervention, activity, sign-language and guest-teaching work.
• CRC Tripura: academic posts in clinical psychology, special education and occupational therapy.
• CRC Sikkim: occupational-therapy teaching and vocational-training roles.
• Regional Centre Aizawl: physiotherapy, speech therapy, office support and MTS work.
• Regional Centre Naharlagun: an accounts role supporting the Arunachal Pradesh centre.

Post-wise Duties

Doctors, Pathologist and Therapists

You will assess patients, plan rehabilitation or diagnostic care, keep clinical notes and coordinate with the centre's multidisciplinary team.

Faculty, Demonstrators and Special Educators

You will teach approved courses, guide practical sessions, support learners with disabilities and maintain academic and RCI-linked records.

Nursing and Technical Staff

You will provide patient care, testing and technical support, follow infection-control practices and keep equipment ready for use.

Caregiver and Early-Intervention Teams

You will support children or adults in daily activities, run structured intervention sessions and share progress with families and clinicians.

Orientation, Sign Language and Vocational Staff

You will teach mobility, communication or work skills using accessible methods suited to each learner.

Administrative, Legal and Accounts Staff

You will handle office, establishment, legal or financial records and help the centre follow government procedures.

Hostel, Kitchen and Support Staff

You will keep residential and service areas safe, organised and responsive to the daily needs of residents.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract status: The engagement does not create a right to regular appointment or permanent absorption.
• Tenure: Duration differs by centre and project; continuation depends on performance, conduct, need and approval. Course-linked and project-linked roles can end with the relevant course or project.
• Benefits: Contract staff do not receive the allowances or concessions available to regular government employees, and statutory deductions apply.
• Vacancy position: NILD may change the requirement and can maintain a panel for later openings during its validity.
• Work conduct: You must meet institute discipline standards and have no disqualifying court conviction or vigilance issue.
• Travel: No travel or daily allowance is promised for attending the recruitment process.

Hand delivery and email applications are not accepted. If you pay online, attach the payment printout showing the transaction reference; if you use a demand draft, write your name and post on its reverse. Every column in the form must be completed, and handwritten forms are not screened.
