NeGD Ecosystem Engagement Manager Recruitment 2026: Overview
National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is recruiting an Ecosystem Engagement Manager for the North East Region to work with the Digital India Bhashini Division. Bhashini connects government bodies, start-ups and technology partners around Indian-language digital services, and this role carries that work into state-level programmes across the region.
You will act as a link between Bhashini and public-sector or start-up stakeholders, turning policy and programme needs into workable technology proposals. The position combines consulting, relationship management and project delivery rather than focusing on one narrow technical function. It suits someone who can explain IT solutions clearly to senior officials while also tracking operational detail with delivery teams.
The regional focus matters because projects need to reflect local languages, culture and administrative processes. You may represent Bhashini in state meetings, forums and events, bring new partners into the programme, and shape initiatives around the practical challenges faced in the North East. Strong knowledge of the region is therefore more than a general advantage; it helps you design solutions that can work on the ground.
The manager also supports innovation-led engagement through workshops, hackathons, conferences and similar state initiatives. You will keep policy-level project sprints aligned with milestones, develop repeatable workflows for rollout, and provide stakeholders with clear progress updates. The work calls for sound judgement because plans may need to change quickly as government priorities, partner readiness and technology requirements evolve.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract basis: the position is linked to the Digital India Bhashini Division’s project work and does not create a claim to a permanent appointment.
- Regional responsibility: the role handles the North East Region, with extensive travel expected for meetings, partner engagement and project implementation at the grassroots level.
- Regional fit: candidates who know the region and can work in its languages receive preference because the manager must adapt programme strategy to local conditions.
- Screening: NeGD or Digital India Corporation may use qualifications, academic record and relevant experience to set a higher shortlisting threshold when needed.
- Government employees: people already working with government departments, PSUs or autonomous bodies should apply through the proper channel or provide a No Objection Certificate.
- Comparable roles: a person assessed through this process may also be considered for another DIBD-DIC opening that needs similar skills at an appropriate level.
- Exit condition: the project appointment may be ended with one month’s notice or salary in place of that notice.
