NCERT JPF Hindi Education Recruitment 2026: Overview
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is engaging Junior Project Fellows in the Department of Education in Languages at its New Delhi campus. The fellows will work under PAC Code 2.12 on a project developing additional resource material for teachers and students around Indian knowledge traditions and Hindi literature. This is a focused education-and-language research assignment, making it most relevant to Hindi postgraduates who want experience in curriculum resources, academic writing and school-education projects.
The project sits within NCERT's language-education work rather than a general administrative unit. Your contribution will support materials meant for classroom use, so clear Hindi writing, careful source work and an understanding of learners' needs matter alongside academic qualifications. Computer ability and communication skills are listed as desirable because the team will prepare, process and present its work in usable formats.
As a Junior Project Fellow, you will work with faculty members and project staff rather than independently setting the academic direction. Expect a mix of reading, content development, file preparation, discussion and revision. The post can help you understand how research ideas are converted into practical resources for teachers and students, but it remains tied to the approved project and does not create a regular claim in NCERT.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project tenure: the fellowship is purely temporary and runs up to 31 March 2027 under the approved project.
- Immediate availability: selected fellows may be asked to join soon after the result, so you should consider your present academic or work commitments before attending.
- Current employment: if you already work elsewhere, your application should come through your employer or you must bring a No Objection Certificate to the interview.
- Experience treatment: time spent pursuing an M.Phil. or Ph.D. does not count as teaching or research experience for engagement purposes.
- Travel: NCERT does not pay TA or DA for attending the walk-in.
- Fellowship status: the engagement ends with the project term and is not a regular NCERT appointment.
The fellowship amount differs according to NET or Ph.D. status, so carry clear proof if you claim the higher category. The structured details on this page show both consolidated rates; the official notice remains the final reference for how NCERT places a selected fellow in the applicable category.
Application Submission Notes
Use the bio-data format attached to the official advertisement and bring it to the walk-in; there is no separate online form. Registration takes place in Room No. 11, second floor, Janaki Ammal Khand, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi 110016, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The interview venue is Room No. 17 in the Department of Education in Languages in the same building. Bring your originals, self-attested copies and photograph for verification, and allow enough time to complete registration before the interview begins.
