NCERT DESS is hiring 25 Junior Project Fellows (JPF) for PAC-approved programmes in social sciences education. NCERT DESS JPF Recruitment 2026 - 25 Posts

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), through the Department of Education in Social Sciences, has issued a walk-in notice for JPF posts under multiple PAC-approved programmes for 2026-27. The engagement is purely temporary and contractual, valid up to 31 March 2027 or until the project ends, whichever is earlier. This notice is useful for candidates with social science, education, commerce, physical education, geography, history, sociology, political science, economics, or allied Master's degrees.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a walk-in interview and document checking at NCERT, New Delhi.

  1. Registration: Report between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM on the project interview date.
  2. Document Verification: Bring the application form and supporting documents for checking.
  3. Interview: Interview starts at 11:00 AM. NCERT states that no candidate will be entertained after 11:00 AM.

  • Prepare notes, reports, data sheets, and background material for assigned projects
  • Handle data processing, literature review, field inputs, and documentation work
  • Support translation, content review, and editing tasks where the project requires it
  • Work with MS Office, data tools, and research material as needed by the project team
  • Maintain project records and submit progress updates to the programme coordinator

Master's Degree in the relevant Social Science, Education, Commerce, Physical Education, Geography, History, Sociology, Political Science, Economics or allied subject with minimum 55% marks; SC/ST/PH candidates need minimum 50% marks.
