About This Job
Apply for 70 Anganwadi Worker and Helper posts in Nandyal DWCD. Class 10 pass eligible. Last date: 18 Sep 2026. Apply offline.
Nandyal Anganwadi Recruitment 2026: Overview
District Women and Child Welfare and Empowerment Office, Nandyal is filling Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper positions at centres across the district. The drive covers six ICDS project areas and is organised through the local project offices, so your connection to the centre area matters. These are community-facing roles for local married women who can work closely with children, mothers and families.
The centre list spans the Atmakur, Nandyal, Dhone, Allagadda, Nandikotkur and surrounding mandal areas. Each selected woman will be attached to a named Anganwadi Centre rather than a general district office. Read the centre list in the official annexure carefully so you apply through the project office responsible for your area.
Posts and Disciplines
- Anganwadi Worker: The lead community role at an Anganwadi Centre, coordinating early-childhood activities, family outreach and the centre's day-to-day records.
- Anganwadi Helper: A support role that helps the centre run safely and smoothly, assists with children and nutrition activities, and keeps the working space ready.
Post-wise Duties
Anganwadi Worker
You will coordinate centre activities and local family contact, support early learning, keep basic service records and help connect mothers and children with welfare services. The work needs regular interaction with the community served by your allotted centre.
Anganwadi Helper
You will assist the Worker with daily centre routines, help prepare the space and materials, support nutrition-related work and look after children during centre activities. Your familiarity with local families and the neighbourhood will help the centre respond to practical needs.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Local status: You must be a married woman and a local resident of the area relevant to the Anganwadi Centre.
- Centre allocation: Posts are tied to specific centres listed under the ICDS projects, divisions and mandals in the official annexure.
- Helper qualification fallback: If no Class 10 pass applicant is available for a Helper centre, the office may consider the woman with the highest lower-class qualification.
- Supporting proof: Claims relating to widowhood, divorce, disability, caste, residence or educational level must be supported by the relevant certificate.
- Notice finality: The office states that it will not accept later changes to the marks or vacancy particulars shown in this notification.
Application Submission Notes
Submit the form with self-attested copies at the concerned Child Development Project Officer office for your project area. The receiving window runs on working days from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM; this is an offline process and no application portal is listed.
Include clear copies of your educational record, age and residence proof, Aadhaar and ration card, along with any certificate that supports a special claim. Check the centre-wise annexure before choosing the office, because the vacancies are organised by project, division, mandal and individual Anganwadi Centre.
