NaCSA Young Professional I Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture (NaCSA), which works under the Marine Products Export Development Authority, is engaging a Young Professional I for field work in Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai district. The assignment connects small and marginal aquafarmers with practical support on sustainable shrimp farming, farmer-cluster development and seafood traceability. This is a field-facing role rather than a desk-only position, so it suits someone who can explain technical practices clearly and work closely with farming communities in Tamil Nadu.

The professional will help turn independent farmers into functional aquaculture clusters and support them in following environment-friendly Better Management Practices. The wider purpose is to improve production methods while helping farms meet the safety, quality and traceability expectations of seafood export markets. Your work will sit between farmers, technical guidance and certification support, making communication and reliable field records especially important.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Contract tenure: The initial engagement is for one year and may continue for up to three years, depending on performance reviews. The engagement does not create any claim to permanent employment with NaCSA or its associated establishments.
  • Field posting: The selected professional will work in Sirkazhi in Mayiladuthurai district. The role is tied to aquaculture-cluster support in Tamil Nadu and needs regular contact with local farmers.
  • Language and digital work: You need working proficiency in English and the local vernacular language, along with MS Office knowledge supported by proof. These skills matter for farmer communication, reports and official coordination.
  • Reservation evidence: Applicants claiming a reserved category must provide a valid certificate in the prescribed Government of India format. OBC applicants must also meet the non-creamy-layer condition.
  • Shortlisting: NaCSA will screen the information and supporting evidence supplied with each form. Admission to a test or interview remains provisional until eligibility is confirmed, and incorrect claims can lead to cancellation at a later stage.
  • Travel for assessment: NaCSA will not pay TA or DA for attending the selection stages. All recruitment communication will go to the email address entered in the application.
  • Position status: The notified requirement is tentative. NaCSA may change the requirement, leave the position unfilled, extend the submission window or cancel the process.

Application Submission Notes

Use the prescribed Annexure I application form and send the completed form with supporting papers to the CEO, NaCSA, National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture, 3rd Floor, Integrated Office Complex, R.S. No. 130 of Agriculture Market Committee, Narasayya Agraharam, Bhimavaram, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh 534 201. The application must physically reach NaCSA headquarters within the notified window; simply posting it by the closing day is not enough.

NaCSA will publish the shortlist on its own website and the MPEDA website, while individual communication will use your registered email. Keep your email address active and check both official sites for test, interview, addendum or result updates.

Corrigenda and Notices

  • Extended submission window: The current Tamil Nadu notice replaces the earlier closing schedule for this recruitment. Candidates should rely on the updated deadline shown in the structured dates and watch the NaCSA and MPEDA websites for any further change.
