About This Job

Apply for Guest Faculty posts in MGGC Mayabunder. UGC-prescribed qualifications eligible. Up to Rs 50,000/month. Walk-in: 4 Sep 2026.

MGGC Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview

Mahatma Gandhi Government College (MGGC), Mayabunder is arranging a walk-in engagement for Guest Faculty across three subjects for the 2026-2027 academic session. The college will use the panel according to actual teaching workload, so this is an as-needed classroom assignment rather than a regular faculty appointment. History, Computer Science and Herbal Nutrition/Food Science are covered together in the same notice and walk-in process.

This opportunity is designed to help MGGC meet subject-wise teaching needs as classes are scheduled during the session. Your workload can therefore vary by the requirements of the department concerned. Being found suitable at the walk-in does not by itself guarantee a fixed number of lectures or continuous work throughout the session.

Posts and Disciplines

  • History: classroom teaching in the college's History subject area, including lesson delivery and academic support connected with the assigned papers.
  • Computer Science: teaching for the Computer Science subject, with classroom or practical support shaped by the timetable and available workload.
  • Herbal Nutrition/Food Science: subject teaching that connects the relevant course content with the college's academic plan for the session.

Post-wise Duties

History Guest Faculty

You will teach the allotted History papers, prepare clear lesson plans, guide students through the prescribed topics and support routine academic work linked to your classes.

Computer Science Guest Faculty

You will explain the assigned Computer Science topics, support practical learning where the timetable requires it, and keep class delivery aligned with the approved syllabus.

Herbal Nutrition/Food Science Guest Faculty

You will teach the allocated Herbal Nutrition or Food Science content, connect concepts with subject-relevant examples, and help students understand the course material.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Engagement basis: Work is offered purely on an as-and-when-required basis, depending on subject demand and teaching workload.
  • Academic session: The engagement relates to the 2026-2027 session and does not amount to appointment against a regular college post.
  • Lecture allocation: Payment is linked to lectures actually assigned and delivered, with a monthly ceiling under the applicable rules.
  • Workload: The college can adjust the number and timing of classes according to the needs of each subject.

Application Submission Notes

The recruitment is being handled through a walk-in interview at MGGC Mayabunder. Report early for registration and verification before the scheduled interview time of 10:00 AM. The venue is the chamber of the Principal, Mahatma Gandhi Government College, Mayabunder.

You must attend in person with the original records and self-attested copies specified in the notice. There is no separate online application link for this engagement, so visiting the vacancy page alone does not register you for the walk-in.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the allotted subject papers according to the approved syllabus
  • Prepare clear lesson plans and class material for each assigned lecture
  • Explain subject concepts in a way that supports student understanding
  • Support practical or classroom activities relevant to the discipline
  • Keep basic academic records for the classes handled
  • Coordinate with the college department on timetable and workload needs
