KRCL Assistant Permanent Way Supervisor Recruitment 2026: Overview

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, wants two Assistant Permanent Way Supervisors (APWS) under Vacancy Notice No. 01 CO/P/E-RE/01/2026 dated 22 September 2026. This is not an open recruitment. KRCL is taking retired employees on re-employment to meet an immediate need for track-maintenance staff. You can apply only if you have retired as an APWS from a Central Public Sector Undertaking, or from an equivalent post of Indian Railways. If you are a retired permanent-way hand who wants to return to track work on the Konkan line, this notice is for you.

Posts and Disciplines

• Assistant Permanent Way Supervisor (APWS): 2 posts, filled on re-employment.
• Headquarters: Karwar. You may be asked to work anywhere on the Konkan Railway route between Roha and Thokur, as the corporation requires.
• Work: you look after the track in your jurisdiction, accompany and guide the trackmen and labour placed under you, carry out track inspection, and take up other work your controlling officer assigns.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Service background: the notice asks for a retired employee who worked in Pay Matrix Level-4 of the 7th CPC (substantive grade), with at least 10 years in the Civil Engineering department on track maintenance, and who has worked as an APWS or in an equivalent post.
• Age: you must not be older than 62 years on the date of the notification, 22 September 2026.
• Pay: the post carries 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-5 (6th CPC Grade Pay Rs. 2,800). Pay and allowances follow the Railway Board guidelines issued from time to time.
• Clearances: selection is subject to vigilance and D&AR clearance, where required.
• False information: a selected person who gave false information can be dismissed at once, without notice.
• Right to change: KRCL can change the number of vacancies or the procedure, or cancel this recruitment, without giving any reason. It will not correspond with ineligible applicants.

Application Submission Notes

Fill in the Annexure A format attached to the notice. It asks for your name, father's name, age on the notification date, designation in your parent railway or department, last scale or grade pay at retirement, date of entry as APWS, period of service with a service certificate, qualification, address, email and phone number, followed by a signed declaration. Mention the vacancy notice number and the post you are applying for.

Email the completed application with all enclosures to the Deputy Chief Personnel Officer (Administration) at dycpo.sayali@krcl.co.in. It must arrive on or before 7 October 2026, 5:30 PM. KRCL will not consider applications received after that time.

• Maintain the track in the assigned jurisdiction.
• Accompany and guide the labour force and trackmen deployed under the supervisor.
• Carry out track inspection and attend to the track.
• Take up other duties assigned by the controlling officer from time to time.
