FACT Engineer IT Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) is building an Engineer (IT) panel for fixed-tenure, ad hoc engagement. FACT is a central public sector enterprise whose work includes fertilisers, chemicals, caprolactam, engineering design, consultancy and fabrication. This notice concerns former trainees of its Training and Development Centre, with appointments made when the company has a requirement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Panel status: Getting a place on the panel does not guarantee an appointment. FACT decides whether to engage people from it according to its staffing needs and the reservation rules that apply.
• Contract length: The initial term is one year. The notice allows renewal for a maximum of three spells of one year each, subject to management's decision, the requirement and your performance assessment.
• Early termination: Management can end the engagement with 15 days' notice or pay instead of that notice. The contract does not promise work for its full stated term in every circumstance.
• No permanent appointment right: Fixed-term service does not give you a right to extension, a permanent post or preference in future appointments. Read the offer as a contract for the specified engagement.
• Shorter engagements: FACT may also consider interested panel members for shorter periods. The company will set the rates and terms for those engagements according to its requirements.
• Reservation: Government directions apply to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections and persons with benchmark disabilities. Your claim remains subject to the relevant supporting records.
• Provisional consideration: FACT assesses the information you provide and keeps candidature provisional throughout recruitment. Meeting the stated conditions alone does not create a right to engagement.
• Travel costs: FACT will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending recruitment proceedings. Keep this separate from any benefits that may apply to duty travel after engagement.
• Updates: Further announcements will appear on FACT's website. Individual messages may not be sent, and any email communication will use the address in your online form, so keep that account active.
• Disputes: Recruitment-related disputes fall within the jurisdiction of courts in Ernakulam, Kerala.
