Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) is offering apprenticeship training at its CSL Mumbai Ship Repair Unit (CMSRU). The engagement comes under the Apprentices Act and brings together mechanical, electrical and computer-related trades at the Mumbai unit. You will join as an apprentice for a fixed training period, with the contract governed by the apprenticeship framework.

Posts and Disciplines

• Fitter: the fitting trade is included in the Mumbai unit's apprenticeship intake.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training period: the apprenticeship lasts one year. Completing it does not give you a right to employment with CSL. The company also has no obligation to offer another appointment during training.
• Stay and travel: CSL will not provide boarding or lodging. You must arrange your own stay, and travel costs for certificate checking or the training period are not reimbursed.

• Provisional status: sending an application or receiving a call letter does not amount to an appointment offer. False details or withheld information can lead to rejection or cancellation at any stage.
• Final entries: you can send only one application, and CSL will not accept changes after final submission. Your entered marks must agree with your uploaded marksheet.
