You will work with the project investigator, research scientist and site investigator while following enrolled patients through treatment and follow-up. The study uses a double-blinded, placebo-controlled design, so accurate drug accountability and consistent records matter. Night duty is part of the work because the study drug or placebo must be given and patients monitored across the treatment period.

The role is particularly relevant if you want to build experience in clinical trials and research nursing. You will use REDCap for data entry, handle blood specimens, watch for adverse effects and keep in touch with the wider study team. Comfort with patient care and precise documentation is central to the assignment.

• Project contract: The engagement is purely contractual for an externally sponsored project. It does not create a claim to a regular JIPMER post.
• Likely tenure: The expected assignment runs for one year and eight months, but the project investigator may extend or shorten it according to project needs and funding.
• Work location: The base is JIPMER, Puducherry, while the notice also expects willingness to work at other study sites when the trial needs support.
• Clinical schedule: Patient monitoring and medicine administration can include night duty, so you should be ready for a study-driven roster.
