IIM Indore Postdoctoral Fellow OM QT Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Fellow for its Operations Management and Quantitative Techniques Area. The fellowship is meant for a recent doctoral graduate ready to move from supervised doctoral work toward an independent research programme. You will work with Professor Aditya Maheshwari as the faculty mentor, with the advertised research space covering applied statistics, applied probability and artificial intelligence.

This opportunity combines quantitative research with academic contribution inside a management institute. You will be expected to shape publishable questions, use appropriate analytical methods and work closely with the mentor without losing sight of your own scholarly direction. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Fixed-term fellowship: The appointment begins with a one-year term and can be renewed for a second term after the institute reviews your performance.
• Independent development: The mentor will support your research, but the fellowship is designed to help you grow into an independent scholar rather than continue as a doctoral student.
• Teaching requirement: During every year of tenure, you must teach at least one four-credit course, which may be offered at undergraduate, postgraduate elective or doctoral level.
• Publication target: The collaboration is expected to produce at least one article per year in an A category or higher ABDC-listed journal, or an equivalent outlet.
• Facilities: Campus accommodation at a discounted rate and office space may be offered if available. Library, internet and other student services are available under the institute's applicable terms.
• Continued support: The institute can terminate the fellowship if it finds that research progress is inadequate or fellowship support has not been used correctly.
• Institutional discretion: The institute may use additional shortlisting standards, leave the position unfilled or cancel the recruitment. Minimum eligibility by itself does not assure selection.
• Selection expenses: IIM Indore will not reimburse TA or DA for a written test, interview or any other selection activity that it conducts.
