Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) has released Recruitment Notification No. 06/2026 for a Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) position in the Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques (OM & QT) area. The fellowship is designed to help IIM Indore build a high-quality research environment by giving PhD holders with an outstanding academic record the chance to pursue focused research in different specialisations of management. You will work under Faculty Mentor Prof. Aditya Maheshwari on research in Applied Statistics, Applied Probability and/or AI, and your mentor is expected to give you plenty of opportunities to grow into an independent researcher. The fellowship runs for 1 year and can be renewed for a second term, taking the maximum tenure to 2 years. This is a strong opportunity for recent PhD graduates who want to build an independent research career while teaching at a premier B-school.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have successfully defended your PhD within the last 5 years of applying, from a premier institute or university other than IIM Indore.
• Academic Record: You need a minimum of 60% marks or First Division in your master's degree or the degree immediately preceding your PhD.
• Desirable: A minimum "B" category (or above) publication in the ABDC journal list (or equivalent) will strengthen your application.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated stipend of Rs. 60,000 per month.
• You will also get a one-time start-up fund of Rs. 40,000 for conference travel and computing devices.
• A publication incentive is offered for publishing in high-quality journals.
• On-campus accommodation is available at a discounted rate of Rs. 3,000 per month (if available), along with office space and access to bus, internet, and library facilities.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Application Screening: Your application package is reviewed for completeness and eligibility. Incomplete applications without proper supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
2. Shortlisting: IIM Indore may apply appropriate shortlisting criteria if a large number of applications are received.
3. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.

A few conditions apply: the Institute reserves the right not to select anyone without assigning any reason, and canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification. No TA/DA is paid for the written test, interview, or any part of the selection process, and IIM Indore's decision will be final and binding. Once selected, IIM Indore can terminate your fellowship at any stage if satisfactory research progress is not made. Any dispute regarding this recruitment falls under the jurisdiction of the courts in Indore.
