IBPS RRB Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is running the fifteenth Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). It brings entry-level customer-service work, general banking management and specialist officer careers into one coordinated cycle. The important choice is the cadre: you may apply for Office Assistant as well as an Officer post, but you can select only one post within the Officer cadre and must complete a separate application for each cadre.
The process supports RRBs across participating States and Union Territories, with allotment tied to the vacancies reported by each bank. Office Assistant and Officer Scale I applicants choose a State or Union Territory, while senior and specialist officers are allotted through merit and preference across participating banks. The annexure calls the vacancies indicative because banks may revise their staffing needs before allotment.
Posts and Disciplines
- Office Assistant Multipurpose: branch-facing support covering customer queries, routine transactions, records and local-language service.
- Officer Scale I: an Assistant Manager route for graduates who can learn branch operations, lending, compliance and rural banking services.
- Officer Scale II General Banking Officer: a manager-level role for candidates who already have officer experience in banking or a financial institution.
- Information Technology Officer: specialist work in banking systems, application support, information security and technology operations.
- Chartered Accountant: finance, audit, accounting controls and regulatory reporting for an RRB.
- Law Officer: legal review, documentation, recovery matters and advice on banking disputes.
- Treasury Manager: liquidity, investment and treasury monitoring work for candidates with the specified finance background.
- Marketing Officer: product outreach, campaign planning and customer acquisition for rural and semi-urban markets.
- Agriculture Officer: appraisal and monitoring of agriculture and allied-sector credit using a relevant specialist degree.
- Officer Scale III: a Senior Manager route for experienced banking or financial-institution officers who can supervise larger portfolios and teams.

- Indicative staffing: the notified positions reflect anticipated bank needs and may change before provisional allotment.
